MUSES

I grew up among the muses. After Dad ran away from home, we lived in a tenement on Carondelet Street in NOLA’s lower garden district between Thalia and Melpomene Streets. Silently, I suppose, I’ve always relied on the muses for everything. However, since my Pullman book signing, my personal writing muse has been on hiatus. I’m acknowledging the street names of my childhood, hoping the sisters and I can once again be friends.
